You can cancel your subscription at anytime. Please login to your Yuzen Customer Profile (click SUBSCRIBER LOGIN on the top right) and unsubscribe in the Billing section. You may also contact Yuzen Customer Service.
Please note; if you would like to cancel just after you are charged, or just after your box is shipped, you will need to contact Customer Service.
Do Yuzen Seasonal Subscriptions Have a Set End Date?
Our pay-as-you-go Seasonal Subscriptions do not have an end date and will continue until you cancel (current price of $35 charged each seasonal quarter in February, May, August, and November). You may cancel at anytime.
Yuzen Recurring Subscription Charges and Schedule
Your credit/debit card will be charged for your first box when you place your subscription order. Once you are a subscriber, your card will be scheduled for recurring charges (current price $35) before each season’s box is shipped to you. You may cancel at anytime, but your subscription will continue to be charged until you take action to unsubscribe (see CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION above). Recurring charges occur at the beginning of February, May, August, and November. Subscription boxes are shipped out soon after.
We strive to curate products of the highest quality that you can enjoy at a premium value. Every box you receive should have an estimated retail value (generally between $60 – $100) that exceeds the quarterly subscription price. If we ever need to make a change to the subscription price (due to changes in shipping, product costs, etc.), we will always notify you ahead of time so that you can review the change and decide whether to continue your subscription. Changes to Subscription Terms
If we ever make material changes to the subscription terms for the Yuzen Seasonal Subscription that impact you, rest assured that you will always be notified ahead of time by email of the changes and you will always have the option to cancel your subscription. You can always find our subscription terms here in the FAQ. If you ever have questions about these terms, please don’t hesitate to contact Customer Service.
When Will I Be Charged For My Subscription?
Your credit/debit card will be charged for your first box when you place your subscription order – and if we have our current box in stock, we will send you that box very soon.
For the second subscription box and thereafter, you will be charged between the 5th and 15th of February, May, August and November that indicate the beginning of each seasonal cycle. For example, if you subscribe during our Winter quarter (November through January), you will be charged when you place your initial order and we will ship you a Winter box (as long as we have boxes in stock). Then, you will be charged for your 2nd/Spring box between February 5th and 15th, your 3rd/Summer box between May 5th and 15th, and so on. This allows us to send out your boxes early each season. The recurring billing for your subscription will continue until you cancel, but you may cancel at anytime (see CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION above).
What Is the Quarterly Subscription Schedule?

Spring Quarter: February/March/April
Summer Quarter: May/June/July
Fall Quarter: August/September/October
When Will I Receive My First Subscription Box?
If you subscribe in November, December, or January, we will ship you a Winter Box very soon after you order. Your second box, our Spring box, will be sent to you in February. For ongoing subscribers (from your 2nd box forward), boxes are generally sent out between the 5th and 15th of February, May, August, and November to ensure you start each season with a little Zen. Can I Choose To Start My Subscription With This Season’s Box or Next Season’s Box?
If you don’t want to miss out on our current Winter Subscription Box, please subscribe by January 31st. Our Winter box will be available until the end of January – unless we sell out before then. If you would like to start your subscription with our next box, the Spring box, wait and purchase your subscription after February 6th.
What If I Want to Subscribe During the Later Part of a Quarter or Season?
If we have our current Winter box in stock, you may subscribe and receive the box until January 31st.
You will be charged when you sign up for a subscription, regardless of when during our quarter you subscribe. If we have boxes in stock for the quarter you subscribed in, we will ship you a box within a few days of your order. If we do not have subscription boxes in stock, you will need to wait and subscribe at the beginning of the next quarter. Yuzen subscription quarters/seasons are: Winter Quarter: November/December/January, Spring Quarter: February/March/April, Summer Quarter: May/June/July, and Fall Quarter: August/September/October.

What is the difference between the Subscription Box and the Gift Box?
Gift boxes are single boxes not attached to a subscription. They feature a beautiful inner box and products that have been previous fan favorites and are different from the current Subscription Box and typically valued at $60-120. We include the option to send a short custom note to the recipient for that nice custom touch!
What Does Yuzen Mean?
Yuzen describes traditional Japanese patterns originally designed for silk kimonos prized for beauty, premium craftsmanship, and attentiveness to detail. Today, these patterns are incorporated into intricate handmade Japanese paper, known as Yuzen or Chiyogami. We strive to have our Yuzen box embody the same attentiveness to premium quality and beautiful design.
