In our quest to continually seek out only the best eco-conscious products to include in our Yuzen boxes, we rely on the opinions of our VIPs—our loyal subscribers. Recently, a few of them mentioned that they didn’t really have a use for the bath products we often include, either because they prefer showers, they feel they don’t have time for baths, or they simply don’t have a bathtub.
Here is some good news about the Dr. Hauschka Moor Lavender Calming Bath Essence that’s in our fall box. Right on the package insert, we found a few suggestions for non-bathtub uses of this soothing formula, and we discovered a few of our own as well. Read on to find four ways to reap all the calming and moisturizing benefits of the lavender essential oil; almond, jojoba, and avocado oils; and horse chestnut seed extracts:
1) Facial Rinse: For a soothing facial rinse following your regular cleansing regimen, add a small amount to a basin of warm water. Rinse face gently with the mixture and pat dry. Finish with your regular face lotion.
2) Foot Soak: Add 1-2 capfuls to a footbath filled with warm or hot water. Soak feet for 10-15 minutes, then towel dry and finish with a moisturizing lotion.
3) Hand Soak: As part of an at-home manicure, add 1-2 capfuls to a bowl of warm water and soak hands for 10 minutes.
4) Room Scent: Add a few drops to a bowl of warm water and place in any room of your home to impart a sense of peace and tranquility throughout.
